Is it possible to set preferences in T4 so I don't have to keep switching of the damn drummer & metronome everytime I run T4 RW?
I can't see preferences anywhere

Only thing that you mayd need to switch off upon launch of the application is the ID, and no you cannot set a preference for that to be off by default.

No preferences option !
Pretty primitive software that doesn't let you set preferences.
Anyway I found 'Audacity' is superior & free.

Riffworks primitive? I don't think so. Even Word 2007 has some options that can't be set. 99.9% of people use the drummer and want it on on start, If Audacity blows your hair back so much, just go and use it.

It's a shame that you come accross in these forums as an intolerant, angry person; approaching feature requests this way isn't likely to endear you to the Sonoma team or make them take your suggestions seriously. You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. By my calculation, once RW is open, it takes 1.5 seconds and two mouse clicks to turn off the drummer; not much of a challenge to anyone. There are many preferences within Riffworks, it is just unfortunate for you there is not one for this particular preference. There might be in the next version or update, we just have to wait and see.
