RW on Mac OS X and Boss GT-10 audio driver takes a big dump

I had this running happily for a while, nothing was upgraded. Recently after taking the GT-10 out and re-plugging it the RW software loads up to the riff1 and crashes. It also crashes if I open it first and then reassign the driver inside the software. This was running fine until recently so I am at a loss. Any help would be appreciated.

Alexander plug the GT-10 back in then go into your audio control panel and change the driver to something else. This might solve that issue.. I had the same problem with my tascam us-122l... But again I must say Line 6 equitment seems to work the best and sounds the best for RW.. Anyway I degress give that a shot.. BTW I left you a shout.

Strange thing is that the GT-10 is first not seen by RW when plugged in, then after flipping the driver to the default Mac and I do a search it is seen again.
In my short experience I can't say that RW works good with anything I have. I might as well activate the default system audio card and record from there just for this app. So far it has failed all my more expensive gear. I am trying to go back to the Mac now cause the Firestudio driver on the PC gets disconnected all the time and I have to restart RW so it can find it again.

Anyway - thanks for your help, I'll try that.

I don't really see any Line6 equipment in the future - I just can't justify buying another card just for RW.

I understand. I am just biased to linesix gear since everything that I own that is more expensive seems to have issues on a windows pc... a problem I might add that you probably don't have on a mac.. but then again that is why I use a virtual machine with hackintosh for some stuff.

Ya, to me it so so weird that you have all these problems with RW because I just haven't had that many errors.. I wonder sometimes if there are 2 versions of the software or if the t4 edition is full of problems... But if the later is the case then the t4 free version isn't a very good marketing tool... I have some issues with RW but overall it has worked better than anything else in the price range for me. Well atleast I know you now and we can work on stuff through online emailing.. If nessisary.

I actually have the full version of RW, I d/loaded T4 for a little while while I was waiting for the cust. support to reset my d/loads as apparently I d/loaded the original software more than 3 times at which point it disappears from the user account.

Maybe it is a problem cause I am connecting on a wireless, although it has been solid for d/loading other stuff off the web.

I think it is some kind of driver incompatibility between the Presonus Firestudio and RW on the way the app captures the driver for us because it doesn't want to release properly.

As far as OS X, my GT-10 and RW - no clue there as everything worked flawlessly before. I am thinking it is a temp file stuck with settings somewhere and reinstalling didn't overwrite it.

well I doubt it is the wireless connection mine is working seemlessly.. I am testing
now if i can even rifflink from my por connection across the street from my grandma.. Hope it works I am so Bored but for a thousand dollars a week taking care of someone I love times is so hard lol... Your problem is most likely your audio interface as that is RW real weekness so far but I am shure will fix it.. It's sad but all your problems with errors would probably vanish..lol. Well I am off to attempt an online log in.. Oh btw I have a tascam 122l and a stealth plug I would sell ya dirt cheap. lol...

man for that money you better take good care of granma :)

Thanks - I'll pass on both of these interfaces. I need something with at least 8 inputs for my band. I guess I should try Presonus FP10 again as that was the only one that worked stable on Riffworks, I just need to finish working on the Firestudio for thereview I am writing on it, then I ship it back and am back on my Firepod.

BTW I will work on your song on saturday when my woman babysits grandma so I can spend a night at home. Do you want me to put the verse and chorus cuts into that new link "christmas edition"?

Yeah, that'll work.

As far as gear - not a huge Line 6 fan on the guitar side and I'd rather get just an audio card maker interface. I am not really wild about the sound of the Line 6 converters. If I am upgrading probably going with MOTU, Echo or RME.

I still can't be convinced to use digital modeling inside the PC as my main guitar processor either, so I guess I might be a bit old school. Just that Line 6 to me is just a tad above Behringer gear, not that anything is wrong with that.
