I don't own that one exactly but you can't go wrong with Line6. I have aPODxt and a presonus firebox. You need to evaluate what you want to do first and what your equipment looks like. I bought cheap to start and got a Tascam US122 I made a mistake becuase they don't support their drivers. Line 6 does. I got a PODxt on ebay but should have researched vst etc etc etc etc. check out
www.tweakheadz.com they have a pretty good matirx on audio interfaces.

Line 6 equipment is always great.
The UX1 is quite limited. Good to start with but if you're getting hooked on RW and recording stuff (and it is quite addictive) you'll eventually buy a better one, like the UX2 which lacks anything MIDI but can do more or less all the rest.

And there is no XLR input for microphones, is there? That would mean you cannot record accoustic guitar or voice.

Get the UX2. Works outstanding with RW. Line6 support is OK - slow, but OK. The good thing is their hardware is cost effective and requires little or no support.

I'm also working with the UX2 and it's a really good package, especially as it comes with Gearbox too.

misconception that you can't record vocals with ux1. I just have the Toneport GX with line6 version riffworks and have had pretty good results recording vocals. Just need to really work with the vocal preamps in gearbox to get a good sound. Just need a 1/4 to XLR cord. I haven't tried recording acoustic. That would probably be much better left to ux2 with condenser mic. That being said when I can afford it I plan on upgrading to the ux2.
