I'm new and Im sure many of you have had the same questions and answered this before. I would just like to hear peoples opinions and how they do things with this software.

When recording a riff that say is only 10 seconds long but the riff runs for 15 seconds how do you delete the 5 seconds you dont want? I know you can click the info link and drag but it still plays all 15 seconds but just mutes the last 5.

For instance, the intro is only 10 seconds long but there is a 5 second pause before my verse kicks in because its still playing all 15 seconds of the intro when only 10 seconds has sound. What do I need to do?

Thanks

just alter the length of the riff by cutting down the number of bars.......But this can't be altered after you have recorded, so you need to set the bar length first...

I would think this would be a fairly easy enhancement -- a "trim riff" feature, where you can specify the number of bars to cut, and specify whether you start trimming from the beginning or end of the riff.

Then again, I'm not the one writin' the code, so maybe it's not as easy as it sounds. :)

I could see something like that being useful

That would actually be very helpful in a "song layer", where you might be futzing around throughout the length of the song, but only want to apply a section of it to the finished product.

Nice suggestion! :D

I believe this topic has been brought up before. To move RW to the next level we really need more control over editing / finishing / mixing, whatever you want to call it. I would love to see that happen - so much I would even put some $$ towards an upgrade version. I wouldnt recommend changing much about the actual recording portion of the program, that part of the app is killer.

You can always use the info bar to fade in and out what you do want to keep..... :)

I export the wave to a third party editor like soundforge.
