Ok, we're cleared for takeoff it seems this time. kudos to Allen.

yeah, I'm a little unclear as to the perks and the ones we are entitled too. I thought there was a free download with this group buy? if so, when is that accessable?

They (esoundz) will email you a serial number for Sample Tank. Then, you have to download from IK's web site here: http://www.ikmultimedia.com/sampletank/download/

After dl and installing, go register it (with the key that esoundz emailed you) at the IK web site. Once you register with IK you are supposed to get the option to pick your free plug in (from the list) but I haven't tried this yet so no idea how that will go? So, grab the demo and register it through the IK website. Then, go to your account on esoundz and you'll see 3 downloads here (in the downloads section): http://www.esoundz.com/members.php

These 3 separate downloads combined are the 4000 or so loops that make up the "ReTank" part of Sample Tank. Sample Tank is just the sampling engine or workstation and the rest is Sonic Reality's loops. So, two separate pieces from two different places. A little confusing, yes.

Also, there's another bonus for reaching 400 people but that hasn't been provided yet. We are going to get to pick 1 from 15 ReTank style packs that Sonic Reality is releasing by next week. We should know more details soon. Look in your email in the next day or so for the registration key or serial for Sample Tank and email Allen with any questions.

One more thing (and THIS is important!!)....

MAKE SURE you register Sample Tank BEFORE the end of Dec. 2008 or you will miss out on the FREE plug in deal. It's a limited time offer so don't forget :O :O :O

HTH

Nope, it was all in the box PLUS the REX files which appear to still be in the esoundz downloads (for me at least). If you haven't installed it yet (it will take a while!) then you're in for a LOT more drums then you'll probably ever need or use. Should have come with half a dozen disks or so, including the drummer packs.

Good times :D

News about ReTank Group Buy Extras! -

For those that purchased the recent ReTank Group Buy! Your great deal keeps on going... you now have over 1,500 more loops to download in your member s area in "My Downloads". First bonus is over 1,000 more ReTank loops including a world rhythm taste of the ReTank Style Pak "World Grooves" and a variety of other unique sounds.

The second bonus contains over 500 "Groove Elementz" loops! This is Groove Elementz 2. Another set of over 500 Groove Elementz loops are available for purchase or for free to qualifying customers (qualifying customers include the first 100 people to join the ReTank Group Buy, anyone who has purchased SampleTank from esoundz before, select Gold and Platinum members who participated in the ReTank Group Buy and anyone else can get the other set of Groove Elementz for free in the month of December simply by purchasing at least TWO SampleTank libraries from esoundz and asking support (at) esoundz (dot) com for the free Groove Elementz 1!).

Groove Elementz are parts of a beat such as hi hat patterns, kick and snare patterns, misc percussion etc. that can be layered together to create NEW grooves that are a composite of the elements used together. On their own they sound sparce and incomplete so they are able to be used together to construct interesting polyrhythms and full drum kit beats or other creations. You can also add Groove Elementz over other grooves for added percussion effects, more complex patterns... have fun!

Is there a way to exchange software on this deal? Like TrackEq for Standard ? I got Sampltron thinking part of the oppy was Tracks3S but did not realize it was EQ. Too confusing. No biggie do you know if IK will do that?

Good question! I have no experiences with IK (as yet) so I'm the wrong one to answer but I know that they offer lots of interesting options to "crossgrade" so look into that and check out esoundz.com for the best prices. My guess is you're stuck with what you've got but it couldn't hurt to inquire and they may work with you on account of your confusion about the offer.

The person you want to ask is Allen. Email him your question/concern here: allen@esoundz.com

FYI

After you register Sample Tank you have only 31 days to download the instruments and sounds that go with it or you will lose them. Strange I know but this is IK's policy so BEWARE!!

"You will need to download the sounds library within 30 days of registering the plug-in. In case you have not downloaded the sounds within 30 days of registering the plug-in, your download status will show as "expired" and you will need to purchase a "Download Reactivation Credit" in IK Multimedia's webstore in order to reactivate the download.
