I have been using Riffworks Standard with a new POD Studio UX2 with much success, recording directly into Riffworks using the POD Farm standalone version. No latency issues and I love how simple everything is. However, I would like the flexibilty of recording a dry signal to my layers and then reamping the layers later using POD Farm as a plug-in.

I have successfully been able to record my dry signal into Riffworks, but I can't figure out how to reamp the layers. I can launch the VST plug-in, I just can't get it to affect the layer in any way. Is it possible to reamp in Riffworks? If so, what step am I missing?

Thanks in advance for any responses to this question.

You cannot re-amp using Riffworks. It only allows VST to be used on the input while recording so, whatever tone you record with is what is printed or saved to that riff layer.

It's a known limitation of Riffworks that's been oft discussed. As yet, this is how it is.

i have reamped in the past using podxt and gearbox standalone in RW, but you can't use vst's with that i think. feedback issues and things.

The way it goes is you just record a new reamped layer and mute/delete the DI layer once its done.

JTman, I have been trying to reamp just like you. I bought POD farm plugin specifically for reamping. What DAW should I use for reamping in POD farm? Anyone. Thanks again.

I use the demo version of Fruityloops for almost every vst plugin, function or rewire that doesn't work by itself with RW.. It is kinda funny but the demo never ends, has all the extras included and the only limitation is you can't save in fruity loops wich if you are using it for rewire or a vst plugin for RW you don't need it to save lol..

So in Fruity loops / Reaper, can I record the riff and change it later using POD farm as my plugin??
