Recording dry signal??

What does recording dry mean??

what audio setup should i use for auditioning tones in riffworks after i have recorded a riff?? I am not sure about my current audio setup for Riffworks. HOw do I check??

My current hardware setup is :-

Variax guitar -> Podxt live -> Riffworks with POD Farm plugin.

dry typically means no effects added to your sound, 'wetness' typically are effects that come from a reverb, echo, chorus, flange, phase - time enhancement, wave alteration or doubling effects.

Eq can be used on dry as can compression.
RW has a asio.audio setup tab in the lower right corner, click on it and it'll bring up your ASIO popup. Click onthe tab in the lower left of the popup that says Open ASIO control panel to adjust your settings.
