With ableton Live there is a catch though, you can't load vst or vsti in live if in rewire slave mode. You can load it's internal fx and instruments only.

yeah, there's a conflict, you won't be able to run both Ableton and RW at the same time, there will be a prompt to ask you close one or the other.

I fear this might be the case with Reaper too?? I'm having a hard time getting the Sample Tank instrument to work through Reaper and Rewire into Riffworks. Damnit!! I hate when music gets complicated like this!!!

Why don't we have VSTi and MIDI support for Riffworks?! There must be a reason right? It creates a HUGE limitation in what is possible. I guess we are stuck hearing only bass, guitar, vocals and instant drummers on Riffworks songs :(

I realize that ReWire works with Reason but we don't all use Reason so please help us out on this!!

i have around 20 tracks waiting in the line just due to unable to properly lay down via midi. (i don't mean anything like midi layers or piano roll stuff or automation , etc) but just real time recording from a midi device via a virtual instrument.

Can't rewire as need these tracks as separate layers for fx and other control over the other layers.

can't export and do in other daw's i lose instant drummers and if i manage to do that, then internal fx and other things.

One suggestion for sonama, perhaps have midi support and some other features as add on components at nominal prices like instant drummers etc.

That way development costs can be justified as well as users have a choice if they need midi or other features they can get the add on packs.

I am finding "ways" to test all these for you.. Actually I own some of these.. it looks like supier drums from hell is a rewire slave.. dang.. because i can't get a demo, crack or anything else to try it and confirm it... I hate companies that don't offer try before you buy..

I´m using Reason and that whole Rewire thing works OK but as atalwar wrote(great idea btw)-I`ll be more than happy to pay extra for midi-support...that would make things so much easier, I really hope the Sonoma crew is consider it...

I have Tascams gigastudio 3. I can't seem to find the damn key but I just broke open the discs about a week ago.

I bought it cheap new from Sciscat and held off on loading it as it needed a really good system to be stable on seems there were a number of issues with it but when it worked it was pretty cool.

Known bugs with gigastudio and tascam drivers. I trashed both because tascam did not support my lowend interface and gigastudio crashed when I tried to use it.
