I was messing around and open RW without my pedal board(usb connection) and I notice when I play the recorded songs through the main computer speakers, I noticed the "input" level will freakout to max(solid red light). I am used the to the steady level during my recording sessions.

Is this damaging to the computer or is there a setting to adjust the computer speakers? I have tried everything I know about the properties of all devices, including software.

Looks like it is choosing ASIO4ALL v2 utility instead.

Thoughts, ideas?

Yes if you run Riffworks without your Line6 device then you are no longer using the Line 6 ASIO driver. Riffworks defaults to your ASIO4ALL driver that is your soundcard, or can even hang up if there is no ASIO driver.

If the input level is maxed out then you need to find out which input is selected on your soundcard, through your soundcards mixer program, and turn it down, mute it, or select another.

Exactly what I had to do. Honestly, completely forgot about the software associated to the soundcard.

I noticed that the "Record" - "Stereo mix" option was enabled. After Muting that, it fixed what I was worried about.

Looked as if the soundcard was re-recording the audio playback back into RW. I knew it had to be something I was missing.

Many Thanks again for your feedback.
