I believe you have to mute everything (inst, voc) but the drum track and then mix it to .wav - saving the file and then dragging that into the GB app.

RiffWorks Standard exports .wav files that can be imported into GarageBand, but RiffWorks T4 (free edition) does not.

Check out the differences between RiffWorks T4 and RiffWorks Standard here:

i dont know why you would want to use such a crappy program as garage band, but riffworks standard can do what you are looking for i believe.

Garageband is a great program, for what it does. Working with Garageband is a stepping stone to working with Logic, which is one of the best DAWs out there. They share some of the same interfaces and make recording a snap. What is bad about that?

I will agree that I love Riffworks and the available drum tracks are more in line with the types of music I like to play, as opposed to the jam bands available in Garageband, but that does not mean that edit some projects in Garageband. 09' has certainly added a lot of features specifically geared towards guitar players and has a great community as well. Maybe d3drocks needs to have a look at the tutorials available for Garageband on the apple site at the link below to overcome any misconceptions.

I hope that helps.
