Hey Rich,
Although it's possible to do, but it ain't that easy with RW as RW has a somewhat Fluid GUI as compared to some programs that have a static gui.
By Static i mean the position of controls / knobs/buttons remain the same etc.
Those buttons that always remain at the same position it is possible but the ones those move their position like the pan and other buttons at bottom , it's quite hard for an outside application to know their location and send messages.
Even in RWkontrol, there are some macros that i had hard coded for the drummer sections. but they were possible due to known location of the buttons.
BTW right click does work a bit faster to set the knobs to default than manually dragging on them in case you are not aware.
The better option is that the Hardcore RW users decide/agree on and make some LIST (as opposed to a request here and there that get lost) of things/little features (preferences only) that we can have sonoma guys look over ,check feasibility and perhaps add them in preferences section in future. That way RW behavior can be tweaked to own liking or mode.
Like on Record Button Right Click ignore the pan and volume and fx and just record the dry input. just an idea.
Perhaps we can have a Sticky RW Features Requests Thread where the Starter can maintain it, people can discuss over a feature that some one proposes over and once a positive conclusion is made it's officially listed in the Original Thread as the feature Request. Once the List grows to say 4-5 of such features we can
request SW guys for consideration. There will be a lot of vague requests coming in from all across and a very few essential ones and far less actually feasible ones as RW is not just windows or mac specific but for both and there at times can be limitations on what can be achieved overall with minimal fuss.
Thing is who's gonna ride the bullet and maintain the thread.
