Ive been a paying customer of Image-Line (the FL-Studio developers), and ive even had some of my presets for their stuff included with their products.
Setting up your USB keyboard will be very easy. first, make sure the proper drivers are installed.
once they are, start up FL-Studio and hit f10.
this will bring up the midi window.
under the Input section, you should see your keyboard. highlight it and press "enable".
I have made a screenshot of my midi window for you to reference.

to get FL to work with Riffworks, start up riffworks, and enable the "Rewire" function.
after that, simply start FL-Studio. i am currently having trouble getting this to work.

Have you tried runing it as a vst?? It ran slow and boggy.. You can't run it a multi because it crashes RW but you can run it as a normal vst..
ARE you getting any error messages? Are you running vista?? It will not work with RW on windows xp period.. It's a problem on fruity loops side of it. So vista yes xp no.. I us a keyrig 49 and it works like a charm..

The best way is to create your song in riffworks and then export the batch wav files and
import into fl studio. You'll have to use edison in Fl to import, then drag them to the timeline in the playlist window. That works pretty good.

Look under your vsts where you find amplitube live, there is one called other now just look for FL studio vst.. There will be 2 actually.. DO NOT USE THE ONE THAT SAYS MULTIPLE.. IT will crash your system.. I guess I should ask are you using the most current FL studio? if not down load the free demo.. everything that is disabled in the demo does not apply to RW.. because you save all your work in RW..

Be very carfull to shut down FL STUDIO before you close RW it is best to switch to another vst like amplitube... Or you may have to reboot your system.. because it will crash RW..
YOu are very welcome man!! Glad I could help.

Cool solution Vad1er! How'd you figure this out I wonder? I'll give it a go....does FL Studio lock up its tempo with RW?

not as a vst.. but as a rewire it does.. I use Fl studio pretty limitedly for EZ drummer and screwing around on the rock band drums toy... Oh, and if I want to add a keyboadr part but now I have my Kaosilator so That use was replaced..
