RW and Live Rewire?

Last night I was playing in both RW and Live, I was reading that Live can be master to any slave supported rewire application... I clicked to rewire RW just to see if I could figure it out, when I was done trying to figure things, I closed Live, it hung...then closed RW, but wouldnt saying that it was waiting for a rewired app to close... Live had closed, but RW still wouldnt close.. I finally had to go through task manager. now when I open it... without live running, then close RW, it gives me the messege in the time line// " stopping rewire" even though Live isnt open. doesnt get stuck or hang or anything.. just waits a second then closes. Any help?

Thanks for the reply.. heres the deal... as I said before, I played with rewire in RW and Live, and I exported, ( mixed) a song I had in RW just now, saved it as a WAV, and opened Live to bring it in..I couldnt figure out why Live was playing a looped section till I realized, Live was playing the layer I had selected in RW...a loop of course... Now, I checked to see if rewire was checked in RW, it wasnt... and again.. it wouldnt close till I closed Live first.....is there a way to undo this rewire?? I may have to ask in the Live forum as well... I cant seem to figure out how to undo this..LOL...figures... thats what I get for playing around...LOL..Any suggestions would be appreciated..again thanks for the reply!!!

Thanks for the reply, RW is my slave and Live is thew master, I cant close RW before I close Live...I have to close Live first.. then RW... I was now just wondering how to stop the association all together.. everytime I open Live it is set for a slave ( RW) ( this is what I get for playing with things I dont know about....

RW Can only Run as Rewire Master.

When using Live with RW, Live will always be the slave.

With Rewire, you have to close the Slave first and then the Master(RW).

If you don't want live to be slave, open it first and set it's audio driver to something else than what RW is using. and then launch RW.
