Hi,
I have Riffworks Line 6 Edition and use guitarport and Gearbox. Upgraded to WinXP Pro 64 sometime ago, Gearbox works fine. However When I run up Riffworks it opens up fine but I cannot hear anything. The db meters are moving when I strum but can't hear the sound. There used to be a guitarport button in riffworks which would run up the older guitarport program, this is not there now, I would have expected it to say Gearbox now but there's no mention of it. Things I have tried:

Re-Installing RiffWorks
Updating RiffWorks (This just puts me in Demo Mode)

Any Suggestions please?

Have you got Gearbox up and running before you start Riffworks?

Is your line 6 device set as your default recording and playback device?

Mr. Lewis, almost sounds like you're using RW version 1 (red interface GUI) Version 1 won't run with Gearbox, only the GuitarPort 2.5 software that came with it, so you may have to upgrade.

If you've upgraded already to RW's version 2 (brown GUI), you have to start RW's 1st, then GearBox 2nd and run that separately as a stand alone.

it also could be that your intigrated sound or sound card might not be asio compatible! check with the manufacturer!

Thanks for the replies fella's I have RW 2 (Brown GUI), Just didn't realise you have to run up GB as well ! Nice one.
