how can I flatten tracks in one riff to one track? sometimes I have too many tracks in one riff sometimes that I need to simplify...

Put your riff in the songbar and press mix ...choose the mix to riff option in the window, that will bounce it to 1 layer in a new riff. Just make sure that you have it all mixed well enough 1st.
This also mixes the drums down as well so if you want drum control later, disable the drummer pre-mix to riff and turn it on again later in the new bounce.
