After having recorded a riff and listening to it the sound de- and increases, means the drums or guitar gets louder then more quiet - like an old tape deck. I am testing the demo version to figure out if I should buy the full version Is this a demo problem, hardwar problem or totally another problem. Csn somebody help?

Sounds like the compressor is kicking in, try decreasing your levels :)
No-one remembers what you do or say. Everyone remembers how you made them feel. Allegedly !!!!

There is a built in compressor/limiter that kicks in at -6db. You can avoid it altogether by just turning down, like Bill says.

Hey Marcus,

Did you update to the newest version of RiffWorks T4? If you click on the RW logo at the top left, you should get a VERSION number in the about page. It should read 2.5.0.3009. If you're using an older version, you'll hear more pumping and breathing than in the new version.

If you're still hearing pumping and breathing in the new version, than you should turn down the master gain knob at the top.

Hey folks, it was the compressor-thing. I did not know that there is a built in compressor activating himself, I always looked at the effect board comp being sur it is not activated. Lowering the levels was the solution - simple!.

Many Thanks
