Hi,

Ive just downloaded the Riffworks Standard program from the site. It opens up fine, however there is no sound. I have a line 6 Guitarport plugged in (the red light is on) but I cannot get any sound to pass through to the laptop.

Anyone have any ideas on this? Not sure if it is relevant but I am running Windows Vista.

You have to plug speakers or headphones into the headphone out on the GP, the sound does not route back through to the laptop or pc you are using. Think of it as an external sound card.

This is assuming of course the GP ASIO drivers are installed and working correctly, meaning you can use the GP as your amp sim. There is one other option, you can google ASIO4ALL and download and install it. Select in the audio setup to use ASIO4ALL and it should allow you to play back via your laptop audio device.

Thanks, it appears to be working now. However, another problem now seems to be present.
When playing any sound - either when a drum loop is continuously playing, or I play guitar, after about 45-50 seconds the sound breaks up for a period of about 7/8 seconds. It is difficult to describe but it sounds like the drums/guitar are jumping very fast for a short period. The sound then reverts to normal and is fine. The problem then occurs again after a further 45-50 seconds, and so on.
Any ideas on this problem?

Try turning off the WiFi capability on the laptop, and jacking straight into your modem. That did it for me.
It's a known Line 6 issue.... you can read about it on there forums.
