I cannot having playback (cant hear anything) directly with my pc sound card if my podxt is off, I want to be able to have a playback without the PODXT on, if I want to be able to demo my stuff to others without carrying my PODXT with my laptop

I have Riffworkfor Line6 v2.10 build 2710

I've installed the ASIOALL but this version of riffwork doesnt seems to find it

Did you go to the audio set up button in the lower right hand of the RW screen and changed the driver used to ASIO4ALL?

Yup, but I cannot select anything there, simply no choice available, that's why I've installed the ASIO4ALL hoping that driver will appear as a valid selection and be able to playback my things without my pod on, and since I put my pod on the asio for my pod appear on the dropdown box but its the only one I can choose, if my Pod is off no selection at all see no ASIO4ALL, did I miss something with this ASIO4ALL software? need special setup for my sound card ? thanks ShredRex to take the time answered me

I am not sure if the Line 6 version of RW is tied to the Line 6 ASIO driver. It may not support the ASIO4ALL driver...can anyone esle weigh in on this one?

That's correct Shred. Line 6 versions are tied to a single Line 6 device.

ASIO4ALL might work with the Standard version if your soundcard has no ASIO driver. But don't bet on it. It doesn't work for me on Vista, used to on XP with my Soundblaster Audigy, but not anymore.

Here's how you can test it without spending money. Install T4 trial version and ASIO4ALL. Try to run T4 without a Pod. If it works, then so will the Standard version, hopefully.

Is this not a Window configuration? You select which audio device you want to hear from the PC in Windows. Windows will only allow one or the other sound device not both. Or maybe I don't understand? Since you have installed ASIO4ALL RW will use it but you have to select the sound device from the ASIO4ALL driver interface and Windows for the sound device you want to use.

Your right Rotund. In XP I could simply select which device I wanted to use while the program was open, but in Vista if my default recording device is set to Toneport, then ASIO4ALL does not appear.
