Im new to riffworks, hoe do I turn the drummer off, so I can just record a guitar riff without the drummer for now, then add drummeer later?

Just uncheck the drummers tab and voila. :)

Oh yeah, Welcome "new" guy. Make sure to read the "new" guy thread in the Green Room.

Recording an instrument with no drummer at all can lead to all sorts of mis-timed riffs. At the very least, make sure that, if the drummer is off, you keep the metronome on.
Like Mickey says, click the 'Drummer' tab and then uncheck the Instant Drummer but check the metronome in its place.
