Another downsize (so far) on POD FArm (great "visual interface", that's great!) is that it doesn't work on REAPER as a VST yet, it opens but no audio comes from it.

Every weekend I "spank the monkey" :D to see if he has a new update to fix this...

Does it happen to to youy as well when using Reaper? (you can leave the monkey beating out please :) )

I think the latest vst version works just fine under reaper as they fixed the 64 bit issue.

my podfarm vst version is 1.03
and L6TWXY Version is 4.14.0
and it did work in reaper.
though i don't use reaper.

Hope it works out for you too.

Edit: you may have to enable the input monitoring or click that R button(record enable i think) to hear it in realtime though.

This is probably a stupid question but.................... I use Gearbox and Pod Farm all the time for recording. How would I set this all up to play with an amp? In other words, I want to use my laptop as my effects processor in a live setting.

i wonderd about that also.

i used to use my amp as a speaker for rw. gp->amp cd imput.

now i go gp->stereo. so i think you just need to have a tp or gp to make it work?
maybe something else would work also?

as to gb vs pf, i like pf coz i can see all the stuff in the chain.

i tune up using gb's tuner tho. can't take the shakey green light on the pf.

You mean you want to run through your effects processor to guitar port? Get an amp and cab and mic it up by running a mic from guitar port to the speaker of the cab. Use a "Mic" setting in Gearbox. Is this what you mean?

Yep, or if you're using a USB Interface like, for instance, a Toneport or something with analogue outs you could make/buy a patch cable and plug you guitar in direct to your USB Interface and then analogue out to your amp or even use headphone out to your amp.

I get it now. It sounded too simple so I thought it couldn't be right. So I will patch from my headphone output on the Toneport GX to an amp. Then I will be able to play a backing track that I recorded and solo over it "live" or just play live with Gearbox effects.

Depending on where your backing track is, if you wanna do it with Riffworks you'll have to import the backing track (Wav File) using Intelliriffer from Atalwar. If you have a way of feeding it to your amp independently then no worries mate :)
