Never had this before......can not get my drums on demand to work in Riffworks standard.....I can get others to work like discrete and drummerheads. They show up in riffworks but when I go to play a new one it just plays the one from before. I have downloaded them multiple times and they say they are installed and ready to use but no way....also does anyone know where the drummer files are kept in Vista? oddly the drummer files that work can not be found in all of C drive??? not sure how they are working....never had this problem before. Thanks
running Vista service pack 1 with 4 gig ram.

The drummers are located in this folder
C:Program FilesSonoma Wire WorksRiffWorks Standardresourcesdrummers
Check if the drummers are all in there.

the drum files that don't work are located right there...looking at them now....but the ones that do work are not listed ...like Wipers or Vintage Rock III ..these 2 work great but I can not find where they are. weird.

Drummers in Vista are or should be in C/Program Data/Sonoma Wireworks/Drummers.

If you don't see that folder there then, configure your folder options to view hidden files.

Weird. I'm a vista user and they appear in the folder I mentioned and not the one you just posted

Thanks mickeymix I can now view hidden files and I see the program dat folder all the drummers are working but 4 drums om demand I have downloaded them again and installed them but 4 just won't show up.....Is there a limit to how may drummers show up in the list in Riffworks?

thanks again almost all the drummers are working and that is about 15...just wonder why the last 4 won't show.

I deleted all the drummers from that folder and put them in the one that Mickey said to and they all work except 4...maybe I will put those back in the original folder and see what happens

Glad it's working for you Ron....I'm not sure why 4 aren't working for ya though...I have every drummer and they all show up so there is no limit like you've asked.........that IS the default Vista folder that they install to when double clicked to install......and there is no milk under the kitchen sink Wizz.......I see we've been taking (talking bollocks classes from Bill) :)

I guess one more talker of bollocks won't hurt the forums :D

You are right Mickey...the instructions from sonoma say the drummers are in that folder...I just had to change to view hidden folders so I could see them. But those 4 will not work no matter what. I am going to buy a new one and see if that one works as a test...will let you know.
thanks again every one.

Try re-downloading the non-working drummers and double clicking to install of course.......from your Sonoma store /My Account/ View or Download software....the ones you have may be corrupted. If you run out of downloads just ask for a re-set in the Customer Service area of these forums.

It doesn't matter where the drummers are located, I have them on a completely different drive than the "C" drive, but as long as you double click on the drummers they should install. It's a good idea to have them all in the same place though. I only have mine in a different place cause if my system crashes I can always install the OS and still have all my drummers without downloading them again, that and I'm too lazy to put them else where. :)

I'm gonna start charging for bollocks talking lessons soon so make the most of it for free while you still can !!!! ;)
No-one remembers what you do or say. Everyone remembers how you made them feel. Allegedly !!!!

I keep my drummers backed up as well Mudd but when you double-click them using Vista not XP, they DO install AND copy themselves to that folder or Riffworks doesn't see them. If you don't see the app data folder it's because you have to configure like I said above to see it.
I have my drummers on my Vista laptop on both drives to back up and on my XP PC on 2 drives as well PLUS an external. You can never have enough back ups. :)

On XP there "installed" to........regardless of where you have them elsewhere.

Just bought 2 more drummers and they work fine...but the were not drums on demand ...one was from Discrete and the other Sonic Reality....tried re downloading the 4 again but no luck...odd though.. one that does not work is Habanero grove..and that is one that comes included with Riffworks standard. oh well enough of this computer stuff...time to actually play& record something...lol
