This product is revolutionary! Honestly...nothing short of that. Buggy, yes. But that's just growing pains ;) RiffWorks stands in its own class.

I challenge anyone here to show me a product that can offer what this one does. Go ahead, give it a shot....we'll be waiting :)

I still use the Lin6 version (cause I is po...lol)...and by the way Line6 just changed the whole forum again...wiping away access to the old posts soon....shame on line6!....so you probably didn't see much praise on the new forum.Stick with it man...I use a bigger more capable DAW also...Riffworks is my Idea capturing program...also when I show it to my Non-recording musician friends..it sucks them in,because it is so easy to get an idea down.

I'll put in my two cents and say, while the Rifflink and collaboration aspects certainly have their issues, I think the Riffworks (Standard) program by itself works as advertised. It's a challenge to work within its limitations, funky drum beats and all, but for myself at least, it's turned out to be easy to set up and work with. I haven't bothered with the Line 6 Edition, though. I went right for the Standard version after trying out T4. It plays nice with my Pod XTL, and the Instant Drummers have opened up some spontaneous creativity that may not have come as quickly if I had to build the drum tracks from scratch.
That being said, it's simplicity and limitations (it's no Logic or Pro Tools) may not appeal to some, but does appeal to many.
Now if I could only find more time for that "spontaneous creativity" stuff, I'd be in business!;)

I don't know - I am kinda leaning towards the negative at this point. RW totally crapped my Firestudio Tube's driver and had to reinstall - never worked right with it no matter what I tried that was suggested by tech support.

RW now won't recognize my audio card input in OS X (Mac) on my other machine after it worked in earlier versions. My audio interface works great with everything else so far (Cubase and Tracktion). So now the only patchy working version I have is on my Windows machine with Presonus Firepod. I get all kinds of strange behavior on it while I am online but it runs stable locally.

I love RiffWorks, I also have Guitar Tracks Pro 3 and Albeton Live, but the majority of my recording and especially writing is in RiffWorks. If you have a real drummer and are recording your band then you need something else, but for all my home recording this is it, hope you figure out your problems with it

I cant be the only guy who has never once had an issue with RW's can I?????? No bugs here...just a rock solid program!!!!!

I have thousands of dollars rolled up in Pro Tools, and gee....look what I use 90% of the time.....RW!!!!! Not to toot my own horn.....but I am no slouch when it comes to computers....and I just two days ago got to the bottom of a problem that has kept me from running Pro Tools for over NINE MONTHS!!!!!

Go to Digidesigns web page and see how much support you get from them!!!!

Oh....and just for the record.....THIS PROGRAM IS AWESOME....AND I CAN'T GET ENOUGH RIFFWORKS!!!!!!!! ;)

Dude RW is the bomb.. the complaints are mostly about rifflink bieng slow for now(this will improve) the sofware is the best give it a try. Check out Riffworld.com and here all the musician's with original songs. What othe software can boast this. I have been recording for 9 months have done 30+ originals and 100+ collabs.. most originals with a few covers just for measure.

i had the same problem, my first version of this product was line 6 edition. why don't you see if sonoma will let you download riffworks standard,it will work with line6, i've done it myself just use gearbox or pod farm like any other vst plugin. the problem lies in line6 monkey and to my knowledge they haven't corrected the problem. i had to raise hell with line6 and they traded me something for equal value, so they did make a good effort to make it right!
