How do I unlock a song layer?

I have a song I want to redo the vocals on. I renamed the song under a different file name and opened the new file. I deleted the song layer and tried to re-record the vocals. The software gave me a locked sound layer file that didn't record anything. How do I unlock this song layer or do I have to start from scratch. How do you move a songlayer back down like you do a riff if that is the solution?

If you export all the riffs from that RWS file (The riffs will go into the default folder as RWR files) you can then start a new RWS and import them all back in. Might not be ideally what you wanted but it will give you a brand new song file with your original riffs (RWR files) and a virgin songline and songlayer that you can build/record
