I downloaded InterRiffer so I could use a Pink Floyd Backing track. No problem converting the file from an MP3 to the recommended wav file format. When I go to improt the song into Riffworks it asked me if I want to replace the existing Riff. I answer yes and getting an error message that says " Error loading layer named" and thats all I get. Can anyone help me straighten this out.

Thanks

John

I think the message you are getting relates to the songlayer...Try saying no when asked...

John, i had replied to your email message to try a few things, other than that, what version of rw are you using as i have only tested it with standard.

Hi, I appreciated the email but I'm having no luck. I'm using Standard. Let me as this, can you import into a new tune that has not been saved or do I need to start to build a tune, save it and then do the import?
Thanks

John,
i don't think saving is necessary in RW. i tried it without saving and everything was fine.

what size is the file that intelliriffer saves that you are importing in RW? It should be a few megabytes atleast considering your backing track to be approx 50-60 mb.

also make sure you using version 2.0.6 beta as that has few fixes for song layers for the new rw version and older versions just not might be compatible.

The file is 34MB and I'm using 2.0.6. I'm trying to import just the backing track. Do I need to add a riff in Intelliriffer first?
Thanks

Open Intellriff...click New riff...Import (locate file on you machine)...Preview file if needed....click update current layer....save riff....then RW and import riff..
