All of the Monkey checks are up to date. And it's only about 2 seconds before the error message pops up.

Question: Are the only people having these problems recipients of the free Line 6 Edition upgrade? That Monkey stuff was pretty wierd.

Likewise, all of my Line6 stuff is up-to-date. The hourglass is still a problem. No other windows open and the application can only be terminated by using task-manager to kill the application. I prevously posted by log file. I have also opened a ticket with LINE6 -- but no luck there either.

I have removed the riffworks v1 application previously. Any help is appreciated

I had another idea.

Could you launch RiffWorks without a Line6 device connected? I am pretty sure it will try to use your default sound card, or start without sound (if it doesn't just hang).

Thanks

No other windows behind the RW2 window. Also, the hourglass happens for me regardless of whether or not RW1 is still installed.

Tonight, when I get home from work I'll try it without my PODxtPro connected. But, I think I've already tried that (by accident, yesterday I started RW2 when my PODxtPro was turned off, but still had the hourglass problem. I'll double check that tonight anyway).

You guys that are getting the crash on launch (not the hourglass problem),

Hold on. We have a potential fix for you coming very soon. The common thread is that you all have older Athlons that either don't have SSE instruction support or don't verify that they have it. We use completely accelerated DSP code all over RiffWorks and the non-SSE code was just totally broken. We don't have non-SSE machines around here, so we didn't see it. Sorry about that. It was totally my fault. :(

Anyone who has the hang problem can email me. Until line6 has a fix for it, we can do something about it.

Hello,

I`ve got the same problem as TerryR!

The first box that pops up says:
An Unknown Error has occured. We will try to recover your data when you relaunch the application. Just make sure to answer yes when asked if you'd like to recover.
Code -1 at .DLooper.cpp:line 452

I really hope you have some kind of solution to this problem?

Greatings from sweden.

I think we do have a solution. We should have a download that can fix this in a day or so.

To all of you that are having the problem where RiffWorks crashes on launch...

We appear to have a fix for that bug. One of the people who reported it has responded that it worked with a new build. We will get that build up ASAP.

Thanks for your patience.

Hello Dan,

I also have the all well known issue with hanging app RW2 Line 6 edition. I am using POD XT Live and do not get support from Line 6. One additional information: In resources folder there seams to be a lot of zipped files not yet unpacked. Could this cause the issues??? Cheers ..........SonicWiseman
