All My Loving"
-by The Beatles, written by Paul McCartney, but credited to Lennon/McCartney, from the 1963 album With the Beatles. It was the first of only a few occasions where McCartney wrote the lyrics before the music, as it was allegedly conceived as a poem while the Beatle was shaving. McCartney envisioned it originally as a country & western song–hence Harrison’s Nashville influenced-guitar solo–and the music was written backstage on a piano during The Beatles’ Roy Orbison tour.
