This is not directed at any one person....but for the few of you(you know who you are) I would like to ask you to stop spamming my mail with "vote for me here" and "vote for this" there ....besides being highly aggravating ....it's pretty lame as well....sorry ...just how I feel.

For those doing this...you are to good to stoop(sp) to these tactics....you will be heard and voted for all on your musics merit.

Sorry if anyone gets offended by this...It's not my intent....but I just can't take it anymore lol....sorry.

Thanks for understanding....hopefully...lol

I'm with ya Jesse. I have enough politicians pandering for my vote, don't need musicians doing the same

It might just be me, but I get a little pissed when I get an email that was cc'd to a bazillion other people too. Talk to me as an individual and I will listen. If I'm not important enough for you to email me individually, then your song is not important enough for me to listen to and vote for.

I'll be the first to admit to this tactic.........based on all past rumbles that is one of the catigories "popular" for what its worth. I've been bombarded before by others and i'm ok with it because i understand the "contest" and alot of times i may have missed something amongst all the e mails. As i've said before ,the popularity vote dosn't mean much..it's all dependant on how many people you "know" . I for one rather be chosen by my peers and the solid comments are what mean the most!!!!
In this particular case i have maild 3 times to my so called friends so i could lift up my wife and daughter..... and all the other contestants if you have actually read what i have sent! I also have tryed to BC as many as i knew who whant it that way... i still havent found a way to mass e mail everyone BC rather than CC!
On the other hand, i truly apologize for iritating the crap out of you all.. i really didn't think you all felt that way! With all being said though, there are no hard feelings... you guys are still my bro's and you have all encouraged me at one time or another... i am very greatfull for that ! Sorry to get under your skin... now lets do some colabing..lol! Thats another thing.. i've goten alot of private invites but i have been extreemly busy .. i've been trying to nible at them when i get the chance! Thanks for every thing and for being up front! I didn't mind it myself.....sure as hell get worst e-mails.

With all the "crapolla" and complaints that surround the popular votes and voting I would just as soon see it abolished all together. Just contestants vote and manufacturers vote. It would be one less prize to hand out and therefore save money.

I like the mass emails for extra special riffcasts though. I miss so much with all the traffic on there, keep em coming.

I respect Flexkill's opinion as well as the other guys who get bugged with emails. I too must admit to using this "lame" tactic and apologize for offending anyone. Popularity contests bring out the worst in people...mwhauahaha. I think some people are just a lot more social than others and the people who not as social get really offended when you try to drag them into your network of friends. Perfectly understandable.

Maybe anyone who does not want to be bothered with emails from fellow RiffCasters should chime in on this thread and Jesse could make a list in his first post so we all know who not to bug. It is like signing up to the "Do Not Call" list. This way the other RiffCasters who actually might want these emails can still recieve them.

Fair enough?

every man for himself i say.all out fighting is good for the rumble x.bout time we had a good old fashioned dust up around this place.its a bit of fun for gods sake.sorry if i offend anyone but its not that serious surely?lol.im more worried about the earthquake and all the lives that were lost than emails.we have to look at whats really important in life.thats me off the christmas card list now!! i may get one from rick with $1000 in it haaahha !!! peace ,love and banana pies !!!

I'm more amused than offended by these (especially when Bob hijack's someone else's email...mwhuhahahahaha).

In regards to the general riffcasts, maybe one of you techie guys could enlighten us how to use the RSS feeds, so we could get updates when certain of our "faves" post a new riffcast?

JJ, there is an rss feed for each user. You can find it by going to the members page then click on all Riffcast for (that user). Then lokk right under the Search button and you should see a small RSS icon. This will give you a link like this http://www.riffworld.com/Members/bluesydude/riffcasts/RSS

Yeah for some reason when I tried it at work I got XML code instead. Works fine now, ya'll can stop sending me emails on your riffcasts
