I'm so happy with my 50s Classic Player Strat that I'm going to get me a Tele equivalent, and this is the one. The price is again mad. Music123 do them for 799 dollars which at current rates comes in at about 529 pounds. This one is 371 pounds new so it's a steal; don't know why they are so much cheaper over here. Can't resist. it sounds great on some of the Youtube reviews and I love the look.... After that it's me finished, might get a Epi LP.....who knows....

You can't go wrong with a Tele.

Cwight how do you like that soft V neck? Not alot of guitars have this shape anymore but I like it alot. I like everything from soft v to a chunky c but not those modern shred ones that are really flat.

I love it Jason, that's a big reason why I'm going for this. The 50s classic Player strat I bought, just falls into place when I pick it up. It's a long time since I've played a guitar that I'm so happy with, and I've never had maple fingerboards before, so that's a real revelation. I'm even playing it unplugged when I watch TV and I haven't done that in years. It's like discovering 'my neck' if you know what I mean. I like the 9.5 radius as well. I'm sure there might be better options, but this just feels like home to me....

Cool, it seems only some of the old school players like the soft V, the Eric Clapton models have it too and my Steve Lukather guitar has it but with a 12 in radius.

Got my new baby this morning. She's a real beauty. Sandstone. neck is a bit chunkier than my strat, but still feels great. Switching options will take some getting used to. Factory setup seems fine, but I might fiddle a bit. But this is a great guitar, highly recommended. Man the Mexicans are throwing some good stuff out at the moment. I'd put my two classic players up against any American model I've played.

Wish me luck and drool away all you GAS sufferers, take a look at this guys guitar collection and studio photos, he has invited me for a jam session at his studio on Sunday afternoon. Should be interesting, I haven't played live since about 1996, I hope I can still remember how to stand up, play geetar and sing all at once, without fallin' over !!!! :)

Hopefully I'll convince him and the other guys to buy RiffWorks while I'm there ;)

Never mind that Bill, get your wallet out, but just remind them that you're a Rifflink junkie and if they behave we might let them become one as well. Once you got em hooked they'll be the 'new guys' and Mickey still won't have any shirts....:)
