I have lot's of questions for you seasoned RW guys... 1. How or where do I get a simple count off with a snare flam on 4??? I bought several drum sessions and couldn't find any? It's probably easy to do but I'm new to computer recording.

And a round of heinekin and queurvo to all who help

Hey welcome "new" guy.
Click lead In at the right under Tempo and Riff Gain
now the window opens and you have the option of None, Metronome, Drummer Part, Drummer count, and Riff1
click Metronome and there you go. it defaults to hi cowbell but just click the Drummer Tab and then metronome, the Metronome doesn't need to have the check box on for Lead In.....click the sound window, now you have the many options for the Metronome including your snare count. Have fun and lets hear some tunes... :)

Thank's man... I got alot to learn? This program is so cool!!! What I meant was a count off to go in the song itself.. Anyway, I just posted a riff- saturday mourning. It's the first thing I did after downloading the program, so check it out.

Not all that much to learn man compared some other recording programs.

Look over teh left hand side of the screen for something like `lead in`

You can set the drummer part, a metronome count in etc etc

It will come into effect when you are recording.

Sorry for the vague instructions but I haven't used RW in a bit.

Ahhhh ....some instant drummers have intros that can be changed using the intensity knob....I've been known to make my own using whatever is at hand, more then likely an empty beer bottle, or even with keyboard drums, or even REX files.....oh yeah and I've done the Beatles/Ramones shout out 1-2-3-4 on some tunes. :P

There is a Line 6 version of RiffWorks only compatible with Line 6 hardware. There is also `RiffWorks Standard` usable with any ASIO compatible soundcard.

If your soundcard doesn't have ASIO drivers you can google for `ASIO4ALL` as some people have mentioned they have had luck with that.

Err, just read your question properly... so RW works for you but not at same time as your virtual amp. Sorry, No Eyed Dear.

I too have the Guitar Combos .....with Riffworks Standard.....you'll need to run them as a VST not as a standalone.

1) Open RW's Standard
2)Click the red Hardware button at the bottom on the monitor panel
3)click Effects button right under Hardware...light goes on,window pops up.
4)click the black arrow on the amps button......choose your combo
5) record your next big hit.
6) post to Riffworld and share with your Junkie brothers. :)
