Man i just heard it in the wee hours of the morning on Satilite radio .. i was bumed.. Skynyard was my all time fave band for years and Billy always added that extra element that made Sknyard--- Skynyard! Way cool guy and great pianist!!!!!!!!!

Billy to me was readily identifiable, saw him with the original boys at the old Hollywood Sportatorium here in South Florida as they kicked off that fateful 77 tour.
Hollywood,FL was the opening concert of that 4 gig tour. That gig was before the Street Survivors LP came out by a few days. And I straight away knew that I loved every tune that I heard. They've all since become southern rock staples.
Billy will be missed.
I saw them again this past May with Uncle Bill (Wedgebill) and Billy wasn't with them. Billy's replacement was a dead ringer for him (looks wise)....just 20 years or so younger, and did a great job....but he wasn't Billy.
