What do you guys think of this one: http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Fender-RoadWorn-60s-Stratocaster-Electric-Guitar?sku=526796

Bear in mind, it's a MIM strat...

I asked Bobbo if he'd checked 'em out at NAMM. His answer was similar to mine....

Bobbo: "I wore out my own guitars back in the day , thank you." :)

My answer: "I'm pretty good at wearing out my own." :D

As if the Fender market wasn't already confusing beyond belief. Anyone know where I can get skibbies with a skid already in them?

Ive been a Fender guy for 40+ years and i am most dissapointed with the way their going...a 150$ price increase on standards..changing to 9 1/2" fretboards from 12" ...as far as these worn look guitars...give me a frigging break...i can beat up my own gtrs ...anyone who buys one of these for a 1,000 dollars is a sucker..i got a worn strat i'll sell you for 600$ and it will eat that p.o.s up...word,,,,

Damn I just bought a new Tele and it has no scratches, dents or paint missing anywhere. Do you think I've been ripped off? An MIM strat for 900+...are they joking?

They extra $250 if for taking it out on the "road" and making sure it is "worn" in for you ;) It does look pretty cool but I'll have to agree that this idea might flop. Then again, people pay upwards of $3,000 for "relic" strats so, there ya go

I've been secretly lusting over this Tele. Charcoal sparkle is amazing! Price is ridiculous. I get the worn in thing, but its the sparkly shiny ones that give me gas.

Hmmmmmm.....next time I'm in Winter Haven to visit Uncle Bill, I'll knick some of his "pre-skidded" knickers for ya and give them to you at a good cheap....cheap....low ....low American $dollar$ price. I'll pay the shipping but you will have to pay the handling as it's going to be a bee-yotch going anywhere near those things, BUT you are a Junkie buddy so I'll do it for you Slingy! :P

I AM proud to say I've purchased a one of a kind Strat-worn Green Stratocaster complete w/ vintage Noiseless TBX pickups, Dunlop straplocks plus Sperzel locking tuners for way less then a Fender roadworn! Cheaper and autographed too! :D

In my opinion , it's worth MORE then one of the roadworns!
