After a few beers and a hookah session, I offer the following whimsical diversion.

Just a thought.. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that we ("the junkies") comprise the worlds largest virtual band. Based on this premise.. Couldn't we set some kind of record - like largest live collaboration or ?? (think people!)

Maybe the Marketing Queen (Michelle) could figure out a way to get some CNN time or some way to spin this with the Guinness World Record folks?

Okay - Now laugh!

;)

Count me in for the beers and the hookah, even if they don't do it. :)

...as a first step, it would make sense to find out who holds the current record for "Largest virtual band" and how many people are involved there? Maybe it's a category that's not been established yet, in which case all we'd have to do was to send in a random collab by some of the usual suspects... ;)

I wonder how they would judge it. Most people connected at one time? Otherwise I'm sure people have `layered stuff`remotely since many years. By very definition an online band would be connected online at the same time?

What I mean is if I lay down tuesday, bobo wednesday and then frodo and bilbo the day after are we really the assy fellowship?

We'd probably need to be able to get more than 4 people into a collab without crashing Rifflink first ;)

Given Mickey's links with Ireland, I'm sure he'll be beating everybody off with a large shillelagh to be a Guinness judge!
Cheers!
