No-one remembers what you do or say. Everyone remembers how you made them feel. Allegedly !!!!

Once again I am humbled by Bill's generosity. I am really thinking about placing a custom order on a Carvin CT6 quilted maple carved top thing of glorious beauty with humbuckers for and aft and and single coil in the middle, floyd rose whammy, 22 jumbo stainless frets and of course...tri fin turbo thrusters.

The reviews are stellar and the factory is 13 miles away if I have complaints.

Now to choose the many options.......

I've always done well by checking reviews and doing research. Ya gotta shot for a score of 9 or higher though. I have found that 8 means "average" and 7 means "sh*t" ;) YMMV of course...

Those Carvins look sweet! (String through body is the way to go!) Only get a floyd if you absolutely need it, getting a floyd means locking nut too, such a PITA! But stays in tune like nobody's business. Want to change tunings alot, forget about it.

Yeah I think I want the whammy. I miss having one on my Variax and I do like the one on my American Strat. I think I might go visit Carvin Friday afternoon to see what we can work out. Mow I am thinking about increasing my budget to about $1500.00 so I can get a quilted maple top. I have always wanted a custom quilted beauty. If you check out the vidoes on the Carvin site they give some good info on how the guitars are built. For the money I would rather buy a Taylor Soldbody but I really dont want another Les Paul shaped guitar right now. An SG would be cool though.

The Carvin SH575 semi hollow carved top guitar is pretty nifty also. It has 1/4" electric and acoustic outputs as well as MIDI.

If there is anyone out there with way too much money who wants to sponsor my gear addiction please let me know......mwhauahaha!

Sweet guitar gallery!! http://www.carvinguitars.com/isa/process/getGuitarsByModelID.php?model=ct6

I had a Carvin V220 (fully tricked out) that was bought in 85 or 86 (brand new of course) and it was the sweetest most playable guitar I've ever had.....too bad it was stolen in 98. :(

I've often wondered why I've never bought another.....hmmmmmmm

I can attest to how sweet Gators Carvin is......too bad it was backwards!

I can honestly say that after my current order I myself may be resorting to cheap beer and ramen noodles, also I see alot of nights sleeping on the couch in my future. ;)
