Yes I think it is destiny. Now just to decide on the million of options.....thats should be fun.

http://www.carvinguitars.com/isa/process/getGuitarsByModelID.php?model=ct6

I like #5 and #11 from the top. A mixture of the two will probably be the final pick.

I know I want a natural maple finsh. probably going for the Tigers Eye type as opposed to the Quilted type. To me when I see Quilted it makes me think of a bass. The symetric lines of the tiger's Eye seems to help tie the guitar all together asthetically. Leaning towards the sunburst finish with black edges and back. I haven't made up my mind on that part yet.

Black Stainless harware, Wilkerson tremelo, Jumbo Stainless Steel frtes. Abalony dot inlays. Rosewood fretboard. There are 3 choises for neck radius. 14. 12 and 10. I think maybe the 10 will be too flat? 12 is standard on these models. The action on the CT6 is incedibly low so maybe 12 is just right. I guess I will have to give all three a test drive. Steve Vai will be a the Poway factory on Saturday so I maight have to go check it out with T-Roc.

Help me decide on my new baby !!

10 is the least flat of the three(funky chord and blues heaven). 14 is a really flat fretboard(shred only). 12 is near perfection!

Well today I made a visit to the Carvin factoy in Poway, CA and plunked down $$$$.$$ on a custom built CT6T Califirnia Carved Top. In 5 weeks or so I will post some pictures of my new baby. I went for the new "Deep Orange Flame" finsh with "Blackburst" edges on a carved maple top with matching headstock. 24k plated "CARVIN" logo on headstock. Tung Oil neck finish, Wilkerson tremelo, 22 medium jumbo stainless steel frets, rosewood fretboard with abolony dots and 12" radius, all black stainless steel hardware with stainless black pickup covers. "PAU HANA" engraved into the truss rod cover for that icing on the cake!! (only $10 more)

I test drove a CT6 today and the action was low and sleak...a dream to play. Now the wait begins.........

Here is an example of the finish:

That finish on this body style, with black hardware:

5 weeks is a great turn around time. I'm waiting 3 months now with 3 more agonizing weeks to go. We have a Carvin shop in town up here too, I must pop in to check some out. Love the Mira too.

That's not a whammy bar - it's the kick starter.. I think Wedgie could play it! It's a bollocks master piece
