"Low mileage Takamine Guitar Rig. Only played by a nun from St. James Infirmary for about 2 hours" Best Offer. Pickup Only. Hard-Shell Case can be provided for an extra $999.99. LoL. A real piece of work for sure.

I was checking those 7 string Carvins out. Pretty dang cool. I wonder what you do with that extra string and can you finger a chord without getting a buzz on? LoL. I said that about my 5 string bass too. Now I can't see how a guy gets buy with a 4 string? LoL:)

You play downtuned music with the correct tension.

Last I heard, Bob was on his way to the Carvin factory to drop a few bones on a new custom rig... I haven't spoken to him since, he's probably out waiting by the mailbox drooling.

Very sexy indeed. Bob's gonna let me play it at all our gigs. I know deep down he loves his Line 6 rig. So it'll just be sitting there on the stand, waiting for a broken string on his trusty ol' red variax. Far be it for me to let such a fine work of art sit during a gig, so yes Bob, I will gladly indulge the newest addition. I thank you for taking the leap. When do I get to start playing it? How long? WHEN BOB...WHEN???

ahh, yer going to get a wilk, I like Wilks on some guitars and find if tweaked right on the right setup, they can take alot - almost as much as a genuine floyd.

Oh my god, how much is that thing???? Seeing as how the finance industry has beat me down so bad over the last 2 years, I think I deserve that guiter... What's another couple grand on that worn out old, scratched up credit card, if tomorrow never comes, it's free! Problem is that rig probably cost like 7-10 g's.

Get me the part number...;)

When's the new baby scheduled to arrive?

AirmanSwi wrote:You can always look into a Carvin. You can get their PRS copy made the way you want it. And yes, they look great, sound great and stay in tune.

I sold an amp to a session player once who was endorsed by Carvin. I noticed him playing a Carvin so I had to ask, "you like to play Carvin guitars?" It's then he told he was endorsed and that the guitar he had in his hands could never be bought by some one walking into one of their stores (totally upgraded including wood type). I supposed you can custom order one, but would probably be a pretty penny.

I like Paul Reed smith guitars, but only the McCarty's after this guy allowed me to play his at Guitar Center. Man that thing was so light and played like bells and so smooth. I guess for a tasty $5000 it should be that way. I wouldn't do any of those models from guitar makers such as; SE, LTD, Epiphone, and Squiers. Just not the same quality.

Wait it out and get what you want this time you know?

Oh yes....I know.....or I soon will. I am already planning to buy a Carvin 'Bolt" kit so I can build my own guitar.....finally. They make it so easy nowadays......

You know I will be obsessed with that project for some time. Still doing research but the combinations are insane. For about $750.00 you can build a really nice custom axe.
