I was on this same wavelength yesterday - completely. It would be very handy to have a classifieds here, and probably a real pain but we're smaller relative to some of the forums I've frequented in the past.

yep, name and phone, contact first, buyer beware. There's always a sticky issue of liability and "it wasn't as described or shown" to come about when you deal with non-regulars or people you may not be able to work some conclusion out with.

I use the door, and the smoker outside and the windowsill.

The main reason I thought a classifieds forum would be good here is because we all kinda know and trust each other. I think the "true" Junkies here would never try to screw a fellow Junkie on a gear deal. Those of us who have reputations here of being a stand-up guy (or gal) probably wouldn't want to tarnish that by screwing someone (at least I know I wouldn't).

And yes Charvelguy, there's always the issue of "it wasn't as described", but you'll run into that anywhere and everywhere - I'm sure you've bought enough gear over the years to know that's true

I'd be interested to hear what the Sonomafolks think of the idea.

You can delete 'em once the item is sold, Or a moderator can close the thread or delete if needed too.
