I've got a very old Korg AX1000G effects processor. It's probably designed for stage setup and I've not used it in years. just wondering if it's worth hanging onto it. Could I put it in front of my guitarport and use it instead of some of the Farm effects. At least it's got a wah pedal....or is it so obsolete now everything in the Farm is so much better...?

colin, i use an old processor going into a my pod. serves as a decent tuner as well as anything that i might need before the pod like a eq,compressor, wah. etc.

Here is my signal chain : guitar > clean mosfet booster/dual mode modded screamer tbp > s.d twin tube classic tbp > zoom 606 /alt tbp>> podxtl

just play with it, you may just like it.

also it also serves as a nice lil vocal fx processor or for keyboards when i sometimes jam, we just put its output through pods cd/line in.

Thanks guys I'll give it a go. Just wanted to make sure I didn't blow up my guitarport or something like that. There must be some heavy output boost with a lot of those pedals on. But gotta be worth a try...

Does your guitar port have a pad switch?. As that is what it is for on podxtl - for high output inputs.

Though it won't fry it, you might get digital clipping if signal is too loud.
