Topic: Contact Support directly when you have trouble with RiffLink/RiffWorld

We realize that RiffLink has been down or has been glitchy more than usual lately. The crew has been making a lot of changes to the server and we anticipated some instability during this time.

It's really important that you contact support directly if you experience problems with RiffLink. Please include which version of RiffWorks and/or which browser you are using. This is the quickest way to alert us to the problem so we can fix it quickly.

See my signature for the link to the support form.

No problem Randy, but often it's not clear if it's general problem your end or something specific to our own system. By posting on the forum we cn see if anyone esle is getting the same problem, and then report to to support. So there is method in our madness, although I appreciate it must drive Michelle nuts to have to repeatedly say...'yes there is a problem with the server'.....:)

In my case, the problem is usually a loose nut behind the keyboard.

Close to my problem as well pooter, but in my case the nut(tter) is generally on the keyboard...:)

lol...funny.  My comment definitely had dual meaning, but more in an analogical sense I was meaning your tele tho over the truck.
Hey...I thought I was the original loco from the keyboard winner.

That actually sounds to be like it could be a new catagory/theme/prize.

Re: Contact Support directly when you have trouble with RiffLink/RiffWorld

hey randy I tried to contact you though email for this but Sonoma's server keeps timing out.  So I will post it here.

I'm experiencing a problem while trying to RiffLink a song.  I create the rifflink.  Join the rifflink as usual.  But when I try to import the song to the rifflink I get the error message: "You must have a creator account to create riffs.  Would you like to learn more?"  in a a box that dispays yes or no buttons.

Is there a problem with rifflink right now?  Has anyone experienced this instance?

Thanks,

Re: Contact Support directly when you have trouble with RiffLink/RiffWorld

A buddy and I had just finished a collab that I'm very pround of now half the work we did is gone. Upon finishing our session i attempted to save the collab which did not work at all. Riffworks created a file for it and behaved like the song was saved. I left our rifflink session and attempted to open the song in my own offline session to make sure it was there only to get "File Format is Invalid" errors. Realizing this, I signed back into rifflink to try and re-save the song only to find that half of our work had somehow vanished. Some riffs were completely missing, some riffs were there but the layers we created were missing. The funny thing is, on my partners end, everything is intact the way it should be. I've tried to sign out then back in multiple times but the song doesn't come back on my side.
Can someone enlighten me on how to get my song back or at least give me some steps to follow so it will not happen again?

Re: Contact Support directly when you have trouble with RiffLink/RiffWorld

For about 4 days rifflink is not available on my pc. It always comes with the message "cannot connect to server, please check your connec" or something like that.
My Riffworks Version is Riffworks Standard
Version 2.5.0.3009
RELEASE 2.50.00
I tried that with 2 browsers as standard-browsers:
Internet Explorer 7
Mozilla Firefox Version 3.5.8
Please let me know, if you have a solution for the problem! Greet...Jan
