they are doing this, because their GTR series sounds terrible, and they are trying to get people to buy into it.
if you have anything by NI, IK, or Line6, AVOID this.

Doesn't it also require one of those stupid iLock dongles? I looked at it a while back and that's what stopped me from doing anything more than looking.

IMHO, I think it sounds great. I prefer the clean tones from GTR over the line 6 clean tones

It works without an ilok. One problem though - I only tried the standalone version and it sounded great, but a couple days ago when I tried opening the plugin version in riffworks, I got an error message saying that the vst doesn't have an editor, but it does have an editor! So I guess this one isn't compatible with riffworks. Darn.
