Topic: Line 6 Models

What are your favorite models? The purpose of this thread is to discover models that some of us have probably never used before (There's so many models, I still haven't even checked out half of them yet) Here's mine:
AMPS
Solo 100 Head
Line 6 Hi gain - These two are definitely my favorite models for heaviness especially if you  combine the two.
Line 6 Super Sparkle - This one is beautiful it has such a great bright sound to it if you crank the HIs
Mississippi Criminal - 5150. 'Nuff said.
Line 6 Octone - This one is just sweet! If you have it, check it out it's basically octave distortion. Truly a unique sound that I've never heard before

Stompbox FX
Dingo-Tron
Red Comp - Great pedal that really warms up your sound
Metal Z - Heavy.
Echo Platter - Some of my favorite delay on here
Cavernous RVB
POD Purple X - Real cool FX going on here I love the HIs that come out of it

stereo square chorus.
love it.

Re: Line 6 Models

My favorites are the Mesa, Marshall, and Soldano models. Particullarly, Triple Rectifier(Cali Diamond Plate), Mark 2(Cali Crunch), Marshall Silver Jubillee(Brit Gain Silver J), Marshall JCM 800, Marshall JM Pre, Line Modern Hi Gain(This is a Soldano model I forget which one).

Others I frequently use are Bogner Uberschall, Ecstasy, Hi Watt for cleans, Vox Class A 30.

I tend to stick to most of those and experiment with gain settings and cabinets and mics. For example, the crunch models like Cali and Ecstacy get a killer clean tone when you roll the gain way down and use your guitar volume.

Re: Line 6 Models

Some great picks Evan! I'll have to revisit these. smile Been using a lot of AmpliTube Fender lately...

For POD, I like two of the standards that have been there from the beginning: Bassman and Vox AC30. For gain/distortion I like the Tube Driver model (forget what it's called?) from the Classic model pack and of course, the Tube Screamer and Rat models. You can get a lot of mileage right there cool

For effects: Stereo Square chorus I think it's called (from the effects model pack), the analog delay and stereo delays and just about ALL of those whacked out vintage "analog" effects (again, from the effects model pack) just because they sound so crazy and original. Just page through the "effects" presets in POD Farm and go nutz! You can get lost in an ocean of weirdness and coolness there big_smile

Re: Line 6 Models

Oh yeah, both Bogners and Matchless amps are excellent as well! I like them for the in between gain tones from light crunch to breakup. Very articulate and well voiced smile

And these crazy a$$ effects are just tons of fun:
