hi, i have riffworksT4, my problem is that when i open rw and go to the input on the bottom left i see realtek which is my soundcard, but when i click on that, i cant find my front pink mic input where my guitar is connected? i have ASIO4ALL installedaswell. it was working fine before i had to format my pc, i se guitar rig as my VST. any suggestions why rw cant find my mic input? thank you for your help.
I bought some instant drummer sessions one from discrete drums called boom boom the other from drummer heads called awesome metal I through the sonoma site. Down loaded and installed them. When I start riff works it immediately pops up a window that says "the following instant drummer sessions cannot be loaded: Boom Boom & awesome metal I". Why wont it work?

My guess would be that it is a driver issue. Make sure that you have downloaded the most current drivers for you input device. If you email support@sonomawireworks.com you RiffWorks log file i can take a look at it. Make sure to include everything you have said here so that we can keep all of your information together. One thing to mention is that we do not support ASIO4all because it is known to have issues. You should probably get rid of that. I am looking forward to your email. We are happy to help.

We should be able to figure this out. What version of RiffWorks are you using? Line 6, Standard, T4? what operating system are you running on your computer?
I see you also downloaded Drawn and Quartered. Where you able to get that working without an issue?
When you downloaded them, did you use a download manager? That can cause issues.

Are you on a PC? If so the log file can be found in Documents - Sonoma Wire Works - RiffWorks. I have included a section from our site that talks about ASIO4all.
RiffWorks Standard supports ASIO. That doesn't mean that every sound card is supported. ASIO4ALL really tests the limits of your sound hardware, and we can't promise that it will work at all.
-If a peice of audio hardware comes with an ASIO interface then it could work with RiffWorks.
-If a peice of audio hardware is on our recommended list then we have tested this hardware and verified that everything is working ok.
-Some applications (including RiffWorks) will sometimes (sometimes not) work with ASIO4ALL.
ASIO4All is a wrapper that takes a kernel streaming driver and puts an ASIO face on it. It does work for some devices, but not all of them. And of those that do work, the latency may be reported wrong from within ASIO4All. We won't support problems with ASIO4All, we just can't afford to.

ive found the log file and sent it to you. what i cant understand is that rw was working ok and i had no problems with guitar rig amplitube, all of them i have even downloaded an earlier realtek driver to see if that work, as the driver i was using before was older then the one today. but i cant remember which one it is and realtek dont seem to put up backdated audio drivers. thank you again.
ps, its just not riffworks, my guitar rig cannot also detect my mic input as a stand alone or VST. tnx
hi all, ive been doing some research on this and found out from a few sites that realtek HD drivers have this problem with service pack 3, as they forgot to put the update in the pack? if so, could i go back to service pack 2, as i cant find a realtec audio driver download, just the HD one that causing this problem? any ideals on this? thank you.

As I said before. i think it is a driver issue caused by ASIO4all. We say that it is temperamental. This is evidenced by the fact that it used to work and now isnt. Did you add any new hardware or software around the same time that your issue started?
i deleted ASIO i then opened riffworks again, and got a msg saying riffworks needs ASIO? im on service pack 2, but still got the problem? many sites say its a KB888111 issue, so i delted that update, but still cant get mic input to work? it was all workin well until i formatted my drive, i also use gr2+4 and also amplitube. plz help? tnx
