If you own RiffWorks (v1), crossgrade to RiffWorks Standard (v2), then follow the instructions below.

If you own RiffWorks Line 6 Edition (v2), and haven't registered it with Sonoma Wire Works yet, you need to do so before installing InstantDrummer sessions. Register Line 6 Edition.

Steps for Installing InstantDrummer Sessions

  • Download the .swd file from the store, choosing Save in the download dialog.
  • Make sure your browser didn't change the name of the file, for example changing .swd to .zip, or adding [1] to the name of the file.
  • Double click the .swd file.
  • A dialog will open saying the InstantDrummer sessions is installed and ready to use.
  • You do not need to quit RiffWorks to install InstantDrummer sessions.

Troubleshooting

If double-clicking on the .swd file does not seem to be working, you can manually install your InstantDrummer session: Move the file into the proper folder, depending on your operating system.

  • In Vista, move to C:\Program Data\Sonoma Wire Works\drummers
  • In XP, move to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sonoma Wire Works\drummers
  • In OSX, move to Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Sonoma Wire Works/drummers
