Introduction
RiffWorks Junior is a special version of RiffWorks currently included in certain PreSonus products. It is a identical to RiffWorks Standard except:
RiffWorks Junior includes:
- 4 tracks per Riff plus drums (upgrading to RiffWorks Standard gets you 20 additional tracks)
- 3 InstantDrummer sessions (upgrading to RiffWorks Standard gets you 5 additional sessions)
- Does not include AmpliTube 2 Live
- No REX or ReWire capabilites
- No RiffCaster or Online Collaboration features
- Free with the purchase of certain PreSonus products
RiffWorks Junior comes with 3 InstantDrummer Sessions
- After you Register RiffWorks Junior (see below), you'll automatically get these 3 InstantDrummer sessions in your Sonoma Wire Works store account downloads area:
*Bare Bones by Discrete Drums *When I Drum Around by Drums On Demand *Matt Sorum Basic by Submersible Music
The following instructions are for RiffWorks Junior customers ONLY. If you purchased RiffWorks Standard, you SHOULD NOT DO THIS.
Installation
To install RiffWorks Junior from CD:
- Insert the CD
- On Windows, the CD should Auto-Run the installer
If it doesn't Auto-Run, run RiffWorksJunior.exe
- On MacOS
Double click on RiffWorksJunior.pkg Copy the Demo Songs folder to your preferred location for Documents.
Registration
In order to get your free InstantDrummer sessions and purchase any others, you simply need to register at the Sonoma Wire Works store via the link below.
To Register:
STEP 1:
When you click the following link, an item named "RiffWorks Junior Registration App" will be automatically added to your Sonoma Wire Works store shopping cart for free. Just complete the registration form and you'll be taken to "My Downloads" automatically where you will find: : RiffWorks Junior Registration App (for Mac or Windows). This file includes your free drum sessions.
STEP 2:
Download and run the RiffWorks Junior Registration App. This will complete the registration process and install your two free InstantDrummer sessions. On MacOS, RiffWorks Junior must be in the Applications folder for this to work.
STEP 3:
To confirm registration succeeded:
- Open RiffWorks
- Click on the RIFFCAST button
- Your SonomaKey user name should appear in the dialog.
- Your password is the same one you used to login to the store. There is a password reminder link if you need it. Be sure to check your spam folder if you don't see the password reminder in your inbox.

IMPORTANT: Upgrading to RiffWorks T4 - Free Edition
RiffWorks T4 is a free edition that was released after RiffWorks Junior. After registering RiffWorks Junior and downloading the 3 free InstantDrummer sessions that come with Junior, it is recommended that all RiffWorks Junior users upgrade to RiffWorks T4 by downloading it here. RiffWorks T4 includes free online collaboration, song posting to RiffWorld.com and significant bug fixes. Enjoy!
Upgrading to RiffWorks Standard
Upgrade from RiffWorks Junior to RiffWorks Standard at any time for only $99. Just log into the store, add RiffWorks Standard to your shopping cart, and use the $30 discount coupon code that was printed on the RiffWorks postcard in your PreSonus box. If you do not have this coupon code, simply contact Sonoma Wire Works Support. Please mention that you have Junior and include your PreSonus product information, and we will find your $30 discount coupon code for you.
Upgrading to RiffWorks Standard gets you:
- 24 tracks (Junior comes with 4)
- RiffCaster song posting to RiffWorld.com
- REX and ReWire capabilities
- 6 additional FREE InstantDrummer Sessions
- RiffLink Online Collaboration
