Introduction
These are instructions for RiffWorks T4 free guitar recording software, which you can download here.
Installation
Installing RiffWorks T4
Windows
- Download and Run InstallRiffWorksT4.exe
MacOS
- Download RiffWorksT4.dmg
- Mount the disk image by double clicking the dmg file.
- Copy RiffWorks T4 to your Applications folder.
- Eject the disk image by dragging it to the trash
- Throw away the dmg file.
Installing InstantDrummer Sessions
- Make sure you have installed and run RiffWorks T4 at least once!
- Download and Save the .swd file (don't choose open in the browser dialog)
- Double click the .swd file
- A dialog should appear telling you the session is installed and ready to use in RiffWorks.
Install Amp Plugins
IK Multimedia's AmpliTube® Duo LE & Gallo Engineering's Studio Devil BVC are included with the RiffWorks T4 installer.

Activation
In order to RiffCast (post songs) and RiffLink (collaborate online) you'll need a SonomaKey (this is the same username and password you may have created already for the forums, the store, or to register RiffWorks. To register RiffWorks T4:
- Run RiffWorks T4, and click RiffCast.
- Enter your SonomaKey username and password (this is the same username and password you used to register in the online store - no serial number is required and there is a password reminder in the dialog if needed).
