One Like Son Releases Album Made on the iPhone
For their third record, Start the Show, One Like Son decided to challenge themselves by recording it entirely on the iPhone. Where most music composed on the iPhone or iPad sounds like digital music, this record sounds like a live rock and roll band. The guitar-heavy group recorded in hotel rooms, bedrooms and school classrooms... basically anywhere they could bring an iPhone and their instruments. Daniel Codella of Sonoma Wire Works says, "Out of all the E.P's and "albums" I've come across that claim to be recorded entirely on the iPhone, One Like Son's "Start the Show" is the most impressive by far. John Kunkel (The New Division)
The New Division became indie darlings after the release of their incredible EP, "The Rookie." These boys from Riverside, CA are about to raise their profile even higher with the release of their new LP, "Shadows." Combining the 80s synth sounds of "The Rookie" with more modern house and trance influences, "Shadows" weaves a surprisingly cohesive tale, although frontman John Kunkel explains it didn't begin that way. 86 apps by 41 companies now support AudioCopy/AudioPaste, allowing users to share audio between compatible iPhone/iPad apps, and more are coming!
Apps that support AudioCopy/AudioPaste now include a pasteboard history of up to 12 items with audio previews. Make up to 12 copies of audio, then launch an AudioPaste app, and paste from any of those 12 copies. The AudioCopy/AudioPaste pasteboard includes tempo, file format, name of app copied from, duration, and more.
