NEW JASON MCGERR INSTANTDRUMMER SESSION
Drummerheads has released another drummer from Jason McGerr of Death Cab for Cutie. It was created exclusively in the RiffWorks InstantDrummer format.

This third addition to the McGerr series of InstantDrummers sessions is called "Heartbreaker I" - and he's really slowed it down for this one. Slow down, remember the last time your heart was broken, and let it all out!

RIFFWORKS STANDARD PRICE DROPPED
The list price of RiffWorks Standard recording software has been lowered from $169 to $129 in our store and others worldwide. European dealers will have a list price of €99/69£ exc. VAT. This reduction of more than 20% makes RiffWorks even more affordable for guitar players and other musicians!

Doug Wright, President of Sonoma Wire Works said, "Using RiffWorks to create songs and collaborate online with old friends and new has become a favorite pastime for thousands of beginning and experienced guitar players. We hope this price drop will make RiffWorks accessible to even more guitar players as well as bassists, vocalists and other musicians."

Crossgrading to RiffWorks Standard from RiffWorks Line 6 Edition Version 2 is now only $29. Click here for more info.

OVER 20,000 RIFFWORKS USERS!
The RiffWorks community is growing worldwide! More than 20,000 users have purchased RiffWorks so far and the feedback we've received is fantastic! Here are some recent quotes from RiffWorks users.

"I love playing with you guys. I thought RiffWorks itself was the cake, but RiffLink is more than the icing. It's the candles, sparklers, and ice cream too." Jamie Nelson

"I'm not kidding when I say that your software makes me sound like I know what I am doing. The program is simple to use and I love how you can adjust the randomness and the intensity of the drums... With RiffWorks, you set a couple of dials and start to improvise. Love it! BEST DAMN CHRISTMAS PRESENT I EVER GOT!" Hans DeRosia a.k.a. Richard Kranium

"I am writing new songs (using RiffWorks again of course) for my second CD. It's been a busy time for me... much due to you folks at at Sonoma and the RiffWorks software, I can't thank you enough! Chip, CGM PRODUCTIONS

"RiffWorks is not a great product, but a great experience. I remember thinking it looked like fun to play with and next thing you know I'm in this cool community, collaborating, sharing and getting up every morning excited about music, which makes me excited about life! I think there's some magic dust in there somewhere, how else do you explain it? After all we're just recording audio....right?!" J.J. "The Gator" Falkanger

RIFFCASTER & RIFFLINK PICKS
RiffCaster Pick
We've chosen
"Meat Grinder" by Bruce (Guitarshredder557) as this months pick on RiffCaster. He's been coming out with some strong work lately and lots of it! Another good one by 557 is "Believe", which has some sweet transitions and nice texture. As Rick A. said about 557, "Your tone and approach are way cool...compositions keep the ear interested..Great stuff my friend!"

Also check out BluesyDude's RiffCaster Spotlight on his blog. The latest artist showcased is the talented Jim Mooso - excellent choice!

RiffLink Pick
This month's RiffLink online collaboration pick is two versions of a song called "Scottish Moon". The version called "Scottish Moon..Revised......MacJunkies" was started by Ian, then others joined in - Mickeymix on guitars (lead, rhythm, reverse leads), Tom (Charvelguy) on guitar that sounds like keyboard, and Fuzzfinger on lead guitar.

A few days later, Rick Andrews decided to create another version from Ian's original mix called "scottish moon.revised". Rick said, "This is a gem that Ian from Scottland was gracious enough to let me add to! This was recently done on RiffLink and posted...the linkers did a great job and Mickey did some kick'n and clever guitar work on it. Mine isn't as tasty but there is some extras in there that are fun. Thanks Ian and all of you ...enjoy!"

We really enjoyed listening to the two directions that were taken with Ian's mix. As Alex said in the song's comments, "Nice piece of work guys! You took me to the High Lands. Thanks for the trip..."
