RIFFWORKS BUILT-IN RIFFLINK ONLINE COLLABORATION "RiffWorks allows people to work together on multitrack recording projects (4 at a time per song) in "what feels like real-time" using a loop-based system, with "no worries about latency or distance," using an add-on called RiffLink that enables online collaboration." Wired.com Musicians worldwide can create songs together online using RiffWorks desktop recording software in what feels like real-time. An unlimited number of musicians using MacOS and/or Windows can collaborate on a song (4 at a time) and chat while they're at it. Layers (tracks) show up as soon as they are finished streaming and are always perfectly in sync. Each layer is instantly streamed to other current users and automatically saved on the server for those who wish to contribute later. There are no issues with latency or with distance between users because of RiffWorks' loop-based recording. With one click users can broadcast songs and get feedback on RiffWorld. Alternatively you can collaborate by sending large audio files recorded in RiffWorks or other DAWs back and forth over the internet and work on the file one person at a time. But RiffLink makes collaborating much more simple, productive, social, convenient and fun!

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT RIFFLINK

"I tell my friends I have a pro-studio that's open 24-7. I can sit in on any session, at any time the creative urge strikes, with musicians whose skills take a back seat to no one. I can ask any one of them to throw down a track or two. If I have the start of an idea, they help complete it in ways I would have never imagined." ThrobbyRobby |

"I have so much passion for RiffWorks and the doors it has opened for me. After hours of not getting to bed on time, lost in jamming online, I am filled with gratitude. When I log on to RiffLink, chat, and make music with these brilliant musicians, it feels like we all snuck into a studio with our gear and got away with it! Anytime, day or night, I can jump on RiffWorks and be in a virtual pro studio. We have each become better musicians (and maybe better people) for it. Everyone here supports each other with encouragement, and each person's unique talent pushes ALL of us to improve." blue4u RiffWorks User Testimonials & Performing Artist Endorsements |

"New Free RiffWorks Music Making Software Does Quick Songwriting, Online Collaboration" by Peter Kirn, CreateDigitalMusic.com: "[RiffWorks] is a number of steps ahead of most other [online music collaboration] tools - the real draw is the software editing and effects, as combined with community features...The difference is, you need real client software to be able to do near-real-time collaboration, which is what [RiffWorks] is...I don't think the others have full-blown client software with multi-tracking / recording / arrangement / guitar effects quite in the way that this does." |
