I recently purchased the Line 6 Guitarport, but not the Rifftracker package. In other words, I only purchased the Guitarport. However, the Guitarport came with the Riffworks software. I am supposed to be able to hit the "activate" button in the upper left-hand corner of the screen to activate the program. When I try to open Riffworks I get the following error message: "Failed to start Guitarport for Riffworks..Please make sure Guitarport is installed and working correctly." Well, the Guitarport works and I am playing my guitar through it. Yet, I can't open Riffworks at all. Or at least, it opens but I immediately get that error message and Riffworks shuts down after another message asks me if I want to save. What am I doing wrong?

You shold probably be able to fix this by installing the "Line 6 monkey". Run it with the Guitarport plugged in and use the "update". Try and see if this works.

A piano has about 7.500 moving parts - that's why I play the guitar...
