Finally I can ditch Windows and start using Riffworks on my Mac, and here's how to use the v1 drummers you bought from Line6 in your Riffworks v2 on Mac.

Install the sessions on windows (e.g. GasUpAndGo) using the installers by line6 (they're windows only).

Copy the ones you need from c:Program FilesLine6RiffWorksdrummers onto a CD or USB-stick. The files end in .swd

e.g.
c:Program FilesLine6RiffWorksdrummersDrumsOnDemand.GasUpAndGo.swd

On your Mac, copy the *.swd files on your hardrive into (use the finder!)

YourHardDriveName/Library/Application Support/Sonoma Wire Works/drummers/

This is your main Libary folder in the root of your Hard-drive, so you will have to authenticate as an system administrator.

If you reload Riffworks, the drummers you paid for in hard-earned cash will be available on your Mac. It's real tragic we need to jump through hoops to do this.
Line6 *and* Sonoma made a booboo in their licensing deal imho...

Now leave that Windows machine for your Pr0n collection and Gaming, and use your Mac for the 'serious' jobs !!

nickyp,

I agree that we should have made it much easier to move drum content from V1 around, but just didn't have a good solution open available to us. Sorry for the frustration...

I believe that you could just double click the swd files and we'll install them from RiffWorks. To get this to work, you might need to log out and log back in after dropping RiffWorks in your Applications directory. That will give MacOS a chance to associate the file extension .swd with RiffWorks. Once that association happens, you just double click the swd file and RiffWorks will launch and install the drummer into a good location. (The same one you specified, I believe)
