I have just downloaded a demo version. Its very interesting and easy to get started. I cant get the time signature to change the drum beat. It seems to always go in 44 time. What am I doing wrong?

SHLEPER,

Nothing... The drum beats in the Instant Drummer are real recorded studio tracks. A lot of them were recorded in 4/4, so they will always sound like 4/4 time. For comparison, turn on the Metronome instead and it will give you the true beats for that time signature.

I'm sure this isn't that answer that you're looking for, but it is the true answer. Since the drummer deals in real loops, not sequenced samples like some other drum machines, we don't necessarily have a way to rearrange a drum beat for different time signatures. This comes at a little bit of a price because you can't just have the ID design a new drum loop for a new time signature. It also brings a lot to the table as far as having a real groove goes. We can shift the tempo around a little, which is supported, but the groove is the same. If Submersible Music recorded Matt Sorum playing a basic 4/4 beat, that is what we want to offer you guys to jam with. It sounds like a real drummer because it is a real drummer. :)

So, if you want to play with a 6/8 drummer, you need to use a 6/8 drummer. Or sync up to an external drum machine using ReWire. We do have some non 4/4 drummers available as add-ons. I believe that all of the demo drummers are in 4/4.
